Agreed. I based it on what articles have been speculating about Sakic's asking price for Landeskog and Duchene. Again, as in the team description, these aren't deals I necessarily would make or want to happen (less maybe the McQuaid move) but deals I think would land the players linked to the Bruins in the rumors stirring out there.

i really hate McQuaid but isnt he worth a little more than a fifth

I actually like McQuaid as like a 6th Defenseman; he seems have been one of the few players who exhibited heart during the darker times of the past 3 seasons. He's overpaid and just lacks skill, even in the old shutdown role he once played. Maybe could get a higher pick from a contending team looking for depth in the playoffs, but probably would have to retain salary to make that work. This was purely a salary dump to accommodate the hits from Landeskog and Shattenkirk.

A player might....might to a sign and trade if he gets an eight year contract. If not he might as go to to a UFA July 1and get a up to seven year contract if he changes team. There is absolutely no motivation for Shattenkirk to sign such an contract as posted. These sign and trade happen post season, just before July 1. All these sign and trades now are just not worth the paper there written on.
