i get that but this does open up an additional 3.25 space on top of what the leafs already have. it gives them the assets to look for the top 6 forward they want too.

I think the Drouin deal makes sense for both sides given the circumstances.

I don't think the Tor one does. While I think they could very likely end up moving him, they are in total win now mode so futures hold no value to them, they will need a return that makes them better this year
