Description

Goes along with my 2017 Trade Deadline roster. Expansion Draft Protection: Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Schenn, Couturier, Cousins, Laughton, Gostisbehere, Del Zotto, Gudas, Stolarz. Sign Mason long term prior to draft intending him to be our #1 in net. Highly unlikely Weise, Raffl, Manning, or MacDonald get picked. Caggiula played for Hakstol and knows his system, and he's also a feisty young playmaker. McCann and Caggiula are also protected from the draft. Gostisbehere gets a bridge deal, Del Zotto and Smith are smooth skating all-around defenseman with veteran experience because Hextall won't rush the young defensemen in the AHL if he feels they are not ready.

You said he doesn't want to rush the d prospects but they are not really being rushed this year so next year if they aren't close then something is wrong.. no need to give out that mdz or Smith deal..
