Why are we overpaying a team that has no ambition to make the playoffs for what would only be a rental player. Maybe you get 50% retained then its worth Ylonen and Kulak but not the pick too

didn't say he wasn't but hes only got 1 year left and could easily walk. His value to Detroit is getting them to the cap floor and holding a roster spot.

Even more reason for that trade to be kulak and a 2nd, or just the 2nd no need for Ylonen to be in there. make it a 2nd and a later pick if needed but not giving up a decent prospect for Leddy. and also if its a TDL for sure dont need any money retained.
