Description
Both Barre Boulet and Katchouk have untapped potential and have been buried in the Lightning’s farm system due to the depth of the lightning. The first is included because the sharks got a 1st for barclay goodrow and hertl is better in a lot of ways. For the lightning, Hertl would be replacing Tyler Johnson. My only question: is there any way they could make the cap work?

Doesn’t matter because that’s a really bad deal for SJ.

They don't have the cap space to fit Hertl.

Goodrow also had a 2nd year and cost 950k. TB needs the low cost untapped potential.

Tampa still has all the "Star" players they need and a max cap, if we trade Hertl it will be to a team with cap space or we will have to take back a deal of the same cap hit.
the value is there 2 NHL ready prospects and a 1st! but the cap makes this impossible.

SJS would have to retain and Tampa probably has to make another deal - if they move Kilorn or somebody like that they could easily make it work and they'd probably get a 1st/2nd back so they'd recoup some of the assets they're dealing SJS for Hertl. Actually not a bad idea for them but a scary proposition for rest of the league lol
