Description

Taking a look at what is probably the best option in the case Montreal doesn't match the offer sheet for KK.

Purposefully keeping the Carolina picks because one of them becoming a home run would be interesting to look back on in retrospect.

Meloche is included for depth but not a necessary component.

Taxi squad is used to show players who should be able to move up and down freely (all cleared waivers last year) until we decide who stays and who goes. Gives Poehling and Wideman opportunity while Byron is injured.

Cap is manageable next year without extra moves, but may make improvements difficult and requiring moving somebody out.
Of course if Weber returns at any point it would be difficult, but that ship sailed with the additions of Savard and Hoffman anyway.

Of course this discussion ends if SJ wants to keep Hertl and sign him. Those are options though. I only want to keep the Carolina 1st on the chance it becomes a better pick than KK and makes them look silly.
