      maybe lol. i don't really mind it tho. He was projected to get around 900k more according to evolving hockey's contract projections and was a solid option last year in pit.

      Problem with that is that he was on the third pair playing sheltered minutes. He is literally signed to play shut-down minutes against the opposition's best players. If you ever watched him play for the Leafs or Ottawa, you would know he can't handle such a role. He just can't be a top 4 shutdown defenseman IMO. He is an okay 3rd pairing defenseman that won't hurt the team playing sheltered minutes, but can't do much more than that.

      Issue with some of these moves.. some just aren’t possible. For instance, NYR is never taking Kassian at 3M for 3 years. It just doesn’t fit for us. If he was 1.5M then it would have been ok. That being said he also got pushed around by Wilson and has never fought him so I don’t consider him the answer to Wilson specifically, he would help against all the physical teams in our division who push us around normally. But it’s not the right fit financially.
