Only way COL gives up this much is if Eichel proves hes a top 10 guy again

This team only goes far if they get growth from Ranta, Oalufson, Kaut, and Barron

still... not a lot of depth.

Only way COL gives up this much is Eichel proves he's a top10 guy again?

Eichel's injured, so he's not proving anything as he's not able to play. And frankly you're not even offering that much for the guy. If he was playing healthy and like a top10 C, the starting (and most likely ending) point of discussions would be Byram.

Buffalo has

Dahlin, 1st overall 2018 draft
Power, 1st overall 2021 draft
Mattias Samuelsson, 32nd overall 2018 draft
Ryan Johnson, 31st overall 2019 draft
Jacob Bryson

All as young defensemen in our system at LHD.

Why on earth would we make a LHD the centerpiece of a return for eichel?

Because he's easily the most valuable piece you could at least in theory garner from Colorado.

Thats an interesting point. What young blue chip forward can we flip him for? I ask because im getting the sense that nobody wants to move a good young forward for a good young d, and thats what we actually need.
