Maatta trade: Pittsburgh gets a worse defenseman at a similar price but for just 1 year so $4m available for resigning players in the offseason, LA gets a young defender who has upside and can play top 4.

Fleury trade: Pittsburgh gets a solid fringe starter that strengthens their goaltending, Chicago gets a good B prospect in Hållander and a defenseman that can play bottom pair in Riikola plus a 2023 2nd round pick.

Pettersson has been really good. I wouldnt trade him for Maatta of all people

Pettersson has been good lately but has not lived up to his contract overall, it's a smart move by the Pens, but the Kings shouldn't do this.

But as for Pettersson, I just don't understand why the Kings would want to end up paying more for Pettersson (retaining on Maata) when he hasn't lived up to his contract already. I'd rather wait out Maata's contract and get a big fish from free agency.
