Ah the old, significantly reduce the defence and depth to get 1 forward and a lesser defenceman, trade.

The usual stuff where other teams bottom enders are the saviours for the Leafs. Howden 12 points in his last 59 games, Lyubushin shoots right, so what. Yes Smith would be a nice add.
So what do the Leafs give up? Two superior Dmen, and in effect two two first rounders, no NHL Dman regulars or depth.
