Despite what many on here would say Armia does have positive value so I don't know why he is being traded with assets for a ln AHL player.

Toffoli can get more then that, not much more but I definitely think teams would be happy to give up a 1st and good prospect for him, probably quite a bit more if MTL retained money.

Drouin I honestly see resigning this offseason for a lot less money so I think they keep him this deadline unless it's a ridiculously high offer for him.

Habs fans all seem to want Schneider. Not going to happen, he a future top 4 D for the Rangers.

Armia's contract is much worse than Byron. Armia 3 years left at 3.4, Byron has 1 year left at 3.4

Sens never claimed Byron. I'd much rather have Byron than Armia's

Gianni Fairbrother is a LD prospect and frankly, doesn't crack the Sens top-20 prospects

The only positive thing Sens are doing is upgrading that 4th to a 3rd

    Ottawa DECLINES without even thinking

Armia just like Byron is a fine middle six player. Reality is that if he went on the block Habs wouldn't be giving up assets to get rid of him, that was my point.

I really doubt it. IMO they are "stuck" with him. 8 goals, 17 points in 60 games the last 2 years. He's not a bad player but nobody will pay an asset and take his 3.4 AAV for that type of production

Chris Tierney has a 3.5 AAV, is a center and has a recent history of better production while being used as a defensive forward but the whole Sens fanbase talked about him about being a cap dump. He is UFA at the end of the season so we think it might return a 3rd WITH 50% retention.

Byron had 3 solid years from 2016-17 to 2018-19 but outside of that, he hasn't been close to "a fine middle six player". 26 pts in 75 games the last 2 seasons. Hence why nobody took him for free. If he was still as you described, some NHL team would have taken him for sure.

Byron and Armia are NOT fine middle six players, they are overpaid bottom-6 forwards
