Fiala to NYR Miller to MIN

Rangers can’t afford this and it’s too much imo

Had a feeling the cap would be an issue. We could retain half Fiala's cap hit, he's only under contract for a year (although that doesn't help the Rangers next year). Also thought about potentially swapping Kahkonen for Georgiev, but as you mentioned there's already a lot going on in the trade.

I do think there's a fit for Fiala to the Rangers though

I think if we got that package for Fiala, I’d prefer to keep those assets vs flip for Miller. I think doing that would better set us up for the 25-26 season, which is when I view our window opening.

fiala is very good but there are better winger targets to get like labanc who would be cheaper and is under contract for longer.

I don't think Billy would be too keen on keeping Kravtsov since he refused to go to the AHL, but I do like the idea of moving Fiala to the Rangers for picks/prospects. I'd love to pry Chytil away from them if we could, although that blows a hole through their center depth
