The problem with Boeser is that we're kind of in the same situation as with Fiala (and so is Vancouver, frankly): we can't afford to re-sign him to a long-term deal. I'd love to have Boeser, but we need a center more than a winger anyways. On paper I don't think it's too far off considering Fiala's streakiness and Boeser's injury history.

If the Canucks are moving Horvat, I think that is in the direction of a rebuild and they'd likely be asking for picks/prospects. Maybe not though since Benning probably knows he's on the hot seat and needs the Canucks to make the playoffs. At any rate, Horvat is more valuable to the Canucks than Fiala with Pettersson having a rough year and Miller playing on the wing.

The Miller deal is probably the one that makes the most sense. I have my doubts that he can stick at center though.
