Nah, I think they have a lot invested in Tippett.

I don't see a place in the top 6 for him with the recent Reinhart acquisition. I don't see him passing Huberdeau, Barkov, Duclair, Reinhart, Weegar, Bennet, or Lundell on the depth chart. Seems like a trade that can address some needs for both teams.

I doubt the Panthers would do it. Tippett has shown more on the NHL level, which really is important, as they are both getting too old to really count as prospects. Maybe for Denisenko, tho.

Tippett is on the main roster and, as a contender, the Panthers would probably prefer to keep the roster intact.

I think they like Reinhart on the 3rd line. Not saying Tippett is better, but they have the luxury of having a deep 3 lines, and Tippett seems comfy with Hubes and Bennett.

Pass on Pettersson. Let Pittsburgh struggle with that contract. Would much rather keep White and let Sanderson play second pairing minutes. Realistically Sanderson would pass him well before the end of his ELC anyway. 3 x 4m is a lot for a 3LD.

I’d the Tippett deal is doable I’d pull the trigger tho. Would even add a bit if necessary. Much bigger organizational need at RW than LD.
