See, Eichel is great but just because you're from buffalo doesn't mean he's a better player than Matthews. Besides, putting him on a big physical 3rd line with those two scorers fits better for his playing style.

someone completely unbiased who watches both and SHOULD toil in saying this (I'm a jets fan) Matthews is better than Eichel. Different players and different styles but Matthews is just beastly. Not to detract from Eichel at all. He's severely underrated by many around the league but if Matthews was in that same draft year, it'd have been McDavid, Matthews, Eichel....All three teams are lucky to have their respective players though as they're going to be dominant for years to come!
