I know people like to over value players, but please,

Name me the last rental player at the TDL that landed a team a Top prospect, a 1st and a roster player.

Kevin Hayes got a 1st, 4th and roster player and he had nowhere near the statistics Hertl has. I’m assuming Eller is more for salary cap reasons.

to be fair:
the year Hayes was traded he was on pace for 22 goals 68 points (Hertl has only had 2 seasons in his career better than that)
so the difference is not as big as you want to say

Eller is still a 40+ point per season guy which is pretty solid from a 3rd liner, (Brandon Lemieux not close to that)

Then you added in Lapierre, that's just not a fair trade in my Honest opinion

Okay well Hertl is on pace for a 60+ point season including a 40 goal pace… and if the last two seasons were full seasons he was on pace for ~30 both seasons giving him 5 seasons over 20 goals not including this year.

Alright man,

GL at the deadline, maybe you'll get something amazing, I just doubt it is anywhere near this, but who knows?
