Not denying his talented skill but it's his personality that I'm not a fan of. I was re-watching the press conference after the series loss to the Habs, he said he doesn't need to 'change his game' for the playoffs when he was one of the reason the Leafs lost. Even recently he said the team took their foot off the pedal, but why didn't he take his foot off the pedal during the contract negotiations?

I'm sorry but Marner is the last person I consider a 'leader'. Contract drama or not, this is his hometown team, he grew up a Leafs fan. How come players on other teams take discount deals, but Marner couldn't do the same with the Leafs? If he got $9M, you know how many more fans would love him? I want Marner to be one of my favourite players, but I lost a lot of respect for him (not denying his talent though)
