Chiarot is not worth the 1st but that's what it's come to be due to media. This will probably be the only overpayment they'll receive at the deadline.

There's a lot of people and media sources saying Lehkonen is worth a 1st but he really shouldn't be. He's a very solid all around 3rd liner and will probably need a pay bump next year being an RFA. A thing that might scare away teams from acquiring him would be that a team can offer sheet him and them not having the cap to match.

Paquette can go anywhere but Carolina might make sense. Also not sure if they can get value back for him but a 7th would be the highest it goes.

Wideman can be a depth guy who steps in in case of injury or a guy they can inject to create more offense from the blueline too.

Perreault can be a bottom 6 offensive contributor on the wild and is also a cheap rental.

Nashville probably needs a solid backup to help them win games but also take the workload off of Saros before the playoffs hit. He's also signed for another year so their goaltending tandem would be set for next year as well.

Valimaki should be a player the Canadiens are all over. He's promising young dman who should be playing in the NHL, but Calgary doesnt' have space for him. With the proper development, Valamaki will be a solid second pairing guy for majority of his career.

Hurricanes always seem to be in the market for a dman and they are again this year. A solid bottom pairing guy for a cheap price is a fair deal for both.

Byron is a good bottom 6 guy who has a great all around game. I think he'd fit well under the Boston system and at the retained salary, he should be an attractive trade piece for any team.
