Description
No sugar coating this. We have an abundance of d-man that can play NHL minutes.

If we do not find a trade partner, we will lose a d-man and in this situation, we would lose Vatanen.
Bieksa would waive his NMC, protect Fowler, Manson and Lindholm.
protect Gibson.

Forwards: Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler, Rakell, Silfverberg, Cogliano, Vermette.

This is worst case scenario for the ducks if they cant find a trade partner to get a d-man off their hands.

Adding another forward to the group would not be bad for us and it lets the kids grow in the AHL. We would have possibly 4 solid lines depending on injuries.

Zero chance that Ducks GM Bob Murray leaves Sami Vatanen unprotected for Vegas, He has trade value i definitely could see Detroit being interested we need a young offensive RHD.

We also thought there was a zero chance the Blackhawks would get swept but it happened.

Just saying, BM has an asking price and won't give up any of his younger d-men.

I still see fowler dealt. Sell him high off his great season before he hits free agency. They've already got lindholm, Theodore, Larsson on the left side with right having vat, Manson, Montour

Awtt, your point about the Blackhawks doesn't make sense in this situation. Lastly, the ducks aren't trading Despres to Arizona. Arizona will have to start handing out contracts soon for players. They can't afford to have LTIR for a small budget team. Lastly, even if they did do this trade, expect a higher draft pick. Look at Arizona's previous trades to obtain LTIR.

As a Flames fan who watched Versteeg all year I think he will go for more than that, I think it is also the same for Eaves. Do I think they are worth more than what you have stated, not really no, but there are teams out there that will offer them bigger contracts. I think you have a hard time seeing one of those guys in Anaheim because Bob Murray is brilliant at seeing through players one and done seasons. I would love Eaves in Calgary I just don't want to see another Brouwer situation that we had this year.
