re Galchnyuk.....you're giving up RFA years with Duchene, but this looks like a WIN NOW team. Granted we get a guy like Wennberg.....which is safe to say it won't happen. Would be nice though!!!

Even with these moves, you will have more than enough money to resign price (max 10mil )and danault (max 3 mil).....you'll have an expiring Emelin contract, and a full year to see if Sergachev is the real deal and potentially take top 4 minutes from Petry moving forward.

Still haven't even signed Beaulieu yet who could be used as a piece for something else.

    Not sure he's a 7M player, plus the compensation to sign him to 7x7M would be 4 1st rounders IIRC.

    I know that's the ask for Duchene, but that is so lopsided. As you would say, 'zero chance' Duchene is worth Galchenyuk AND Sergachev AND a 1st.

    Chucky, Sergachev and a 1st for Duchene? are you insane? I agree that Chucky for Duchene straight up would never happen because it does not address any of Colorado's needs or Montreal's but if you look at numbers Duchene and Chucky put up similar numbers the past 2 years. Chucky is younger and still an RFA, Duchene is a UFA in 2 years. If anything montreal would not want to do this deal because all it does is make them older. I think people should recongize that Duchene is not a superstar and is not a 1st line center on most teams.
