Additional Details:
2022 Trade Deadline

Canucks retain 50% on the initial contract
WSH
  1. Boeser, Brock [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
I saw this trade suggested by a Caps fan on an ACGM and I really liked the idea. Boeser gives the Caps a young winger who can contribute to their closing window, and has actually played well under Boudreau so far. I am not adamant that we trade him, but his lack of speed doesn't really fit with the new way the organization is going. McMichael meanwhile is fast as fuck, but underused by the Caps. Iorio is a nice 2-way RHD and the 1st will be late. I am willing for the 1st to be conditional on the Caps having a certain amount of success if need be
2.
VAN
  1. Chytil, Filip
  2. Kravtsov, Vitali [RFA Rights]
  3. Lundkvist, Nils
  4. 2022 1st round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
This is a nice package for Miller. The centre-piece is Lundkvist. I am sure the Rangers would prefer to keep him, but with Trouba and Fox on long term deals and Braden Schneider apparently being the second-coming (according to Rangers fans) Lundkvist can be moved. He really fills the Canucks need for a bit more scoring in the Defense. The rest of the assets aren't bad either. Krav is a former top-10 pick, but probably wont play for the Rangers which lowers his value. Chytil has some nice tools and just needs to put it together. And the 1st is a nice bonus to a nice deal
NYR
  1. Miller, J.T. ($2,625,000 retained)
Additional Details:
JT Miller is a great fit for the Rangers. Really he is a great it for anyone. He scores at a point per game on an average/bad team, can play any forward position, is not a liability defensively and is a great leader. That usually costs 7 mil+, but with us retaining 50%, you cna get him for around 2.5 mil for two cup runs. As long as he is cool with going back to the Rangers this seems a no-brainer

Doesn't have to be the Penguins I just chose them

      1. 2023 3rd round pick (TOR)
      TOR
      1. Hamonic, Travis ($1,500,000 retained)
      Additional Details:
This actually decent for the Leafs. Gives them a nice bottom pairing RHD for a fairly reasonable price
      6.
      VAN
      TOR
Everything above was the 2022 Trade Deadline by the way
        7.
        VAN
        1. Roy, Nicolas [RFA Rights]
        Additional Details:
The Canucks are desperately lacking Right shot forwards so it would probably be smart to bring one in. Taking advantage of Vegas' cap situation would be a good way to do it.
        VGK
        1. 2022 2nd round pick (PIT)
        Additional Details:
VGK are going to have to make some sacrifices at some point and I think Roy is going to be one them. Good player but in such a cap crunch I think he might see the door.

Feel free to let me know if this isn't enough
        8.
        VAN
        1. 2023 4th round pick (OTT)
        OTT
        1. Pearson, Tanner
        Additional Details:
IDK surely someone will take him. Ottawa just a placeholder

I too can imagine Miller as a Ranger. Not today though. Would have fit the profile a few years back…

I mean fair enough it does seem a bit weird but apparently they're interested and they do have the pieces to make a good offer

Boeser isnt worth anything close to that... Woof. Boeser has the same number of 5v5 goals (past 3 seasons) as Bonino Danault and Laughton. EV defense is below average. Someone might overpay for him but this would get a Gm fired
