Make it a 2nd and the Hawks agree I'm betting. Kubalik played his best next to a healthy Toews and Brandon Saad; he was lights out then. JT and Nylander are better players then Toews and Saad...I'm betting he would be back to his stats the first two seasons and maybe surpassing them next to those guys. Great complementary piece to that line.

Hoping he could be a nice buy low candidate (not a great season, high qualifying offer) but demand could push it to a 2nd for sure

Just added some additional thoughts to my original post.

' Kubalik played his best next to a healthy Toews and Brandon Saad; he was lights out then. I really think Kubalik could light up that line like no other player has in the past. Doesn't matter either if it's the first or second line, he's going to add big scoring to either is my guess.
