COL deal is interesting.
If COL knows they cant afford to resign Kadri next year, this deal would make that much more sense

He wouldn't stay there. He would be moved immediately with a 2nd retention of 2.5 million to make him trade-able to a contender. Buffalo could probably get at least a second.

My guess is he goes to a contender, Devils Retain 50% and said contender also pays another team to retain 25%
