Description
Penguins sent their director of scouting to watch Montreal and Seattle. Rumors saying they are eyeing Chiarot (which to me doesn’t make sense unless they move MP), Lehkonen, and Eberle. I for one think Eberle would mesh extremely well with Crosby for the right price and Lehkonen would be a very good bottom 6 player for the Pens going into the playoffs. Thoughts?

that lehkonen trade is laughable. Pens should be adding a 1st in there

I haven't seen a lot of Pettersson so I don't know his situation.
He's averaging less than 16 minutes and being used sparingly on special teams, with a contract over $4M for 4 years.
I can't see any team being too keen on acquiring him.

You want one of 3 things from a defenseman:
1. Offensive contributions including PP
2. Defensive contributions including PK
3. (Ideally) Both

He's not doing any of those while playing 3rd pairing minutes with a 2nd pairing contract.
Can you explain why?

A world where Tampa, Florida, Colorado, and (insert team here) are all eyeing each other and know they are probably going to have to go through each other eventually.
That will be easier to do if you have Lehkonen and they don't. Who's going to blink first? It's not going to be Montreal.
