In my opinion all of these trades are bad for the Rangers but that's just me. Here's why:

I, myself, this Ellis is a middle-pairing guy and i wouldn't give up a young player in Hayes, who i believe will play really well soon.
I think Klein is that guy who secretly helps out his team, getting in the way of another player and making it hard for the other team to score.
Raanta has played really well, and as much as they have Lundqvist, i, myself, still think they could get more ... i like the idea of Raanta to Calgary though, i jus think they could get more.
As much as Nick Holden was a 3rd pairing guy before, he has had a great year and as much as he may not play as good next year, he still had a great year so i think they should maybe hold on to him, or at least get more.

That's all just my own opinion though.

The way Ellis is playing, Hayes and a 2nd probably woudn't be enough in NSH's eyes to get Ellis. With 2 years at 2.5 mil, he's super valuable. I think Ellis to NYR makes a lot of sense though.
