Description
Notes:
- hoping to Jost swap with Freddy or Hartman soon. We really need to find out if he’s got the ability.
- Middleton could be the top 4 replacement if all goes well, thinking Kulikov or Soucy deal to get us through the buyouts.
- Goligoski won’t be resigned and Addison will be 3rd pair next year.
- lots of expendable/interchangeable pieces come the off-season. Dewar/Hartman/Kulikov/Duhaime/Jost etc.

Agree with you in that I’m eager to give Jost a trial run in top 6. Glad they’re running Mids with Spurge.

Kuli sitting over Merrill pains me a bit.

I’m fine with it. Goose is still borderline top 4 caliber and my guess is that he gets a bit better with easier minutes and more rest. While not the same, this is much closer to the blue line depth we had last season. Not to mention the second any defender gets banged up at all, you throw Kuli in and let them rest up without taking a big hit on the ice.

Yeah i specifically said Merrill, not Goose. I mean obviously it’s not the biggest deal in the world, those 3 are all pretty close from a replacement level standpoint. But I’d swap Kuli with Merrill, if I had control.

My bad. I’m very happy with that platoon as 3rd pair overall tho.

What would be your preference for Jost? Would you try him with Fiala and Boldy or Kap and Zucc?

I’m torn on that, but my gut is pushing me towards Kap and Zucc.
