Description

Buying out Zaitsev is not really a problem because if you look at the buyout most of the money is concentrated on the first two years when most people are still on their ELC's which means that you have enough money to pay everyone and that you're not all that close to the cap, the rest of it is problem made non-problematic by the rising cap. Juraj Slavkosky with the 2022 first round pick is probably already NHL ready and would be pushing for a spot on the NHL team and would be a great option for Stutzle because Slavkosky is a powerforward type player with a good shot and good speed. Jager Firkus might fall to the Sens in the second round and if that is the case then he could make an argument of playing for the team along with Zach Ostaputch.

They'll compete though which is a great step forward, also has a ton of talent and room for improvement, very fast and physical and a great team that has a very offensive defenseman, maybe you even add Giroux or Forsberg to this team. Although I don't like what that would do to the cap, granted this cap is probably only around 70 >.

By the way Ottawa has been building this team at the deadline makes me think that the rebuild is over, and they are going to go for a playoff spot next year. After getting Forsberg to resign, he is probably the starter. Hamonic would slot on that second pair, so he is probably going to get rid of Murray. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see Ottawa get a top 6 winger in the off-season. Kevin Fiala, Brock Boeser, Conor Garland, Travis Konecny come to mind as good fits. I think Philadelphia trades Konecny to bring Tippett up to the second line, and they need to do some trades if they want to be better. Konecny only making 5.5M could be a very good target for Ottawa. I could see it.

You only say that cause he is going to Boston, he might get like a 5th or 6th but not anything big but he will get a positive return, he would be a good option for the middle six for anyteam looking at acquiring a good two way center option.
