Before you start jumping on me, this team is for fun and this is why AGM exists.

Montreal loses the draft lottery and picks Slafkovsky with the 4th overall pick. In 2023, Montreal wins the draft lottery and uses the pick to select generational talent, C Connor Bedard.

Knight is an RFA at the end of the 2022-23 season and free agency begins after the 2023 NHL Draft. The 2023 picks should actually be in 2024. I’m fairly confident that the Panthers would match the offer sheet but they have no picks between now and 2024, with ~$19 million spent on goalies. I don’t think Carey Price finishes the contract and I think he might retire early, perhaps even after this coming season.

If this was how the Habs really looked in two years, we’d definitely be headed for salary cap hell.

I don’t know why but it won’t transfer the 2024 picks. Knight isn’t an RFA until the end of next season which the draft would have already taken place by July 1st.

His offersheet compensation is incorrect, Knight can't be offersheet until July 1st 2023 so the 2023 draft is already over. It should be 2024 not 2023.
