I think you're about $1M AAV short on Fiala, but I probably take that trade if I'm Guerin and can't find other ways to keep Fiala. I would imagine that pick would be lottery protected as well

Would depend on where the pick lands for me. If it’s Top 10, then I probably take it as well. If it pushed to 2023 due to lottery conditions or fell out of that range, I’d pass.

    Bellows is already 23.

Should have clarified, by "lottery protected" I really meant top 3 protected. Right now it's 13th which I think is fine - but ideally it's in that sweet spot of the 8-12 range.

Bellows hasn't had the most impressive NHL career but he also hasn't played a ton of games (only 57 across 3 seasons averaging around 11 minutes of ice time per game). He seems like a guy that also would benefit from getting out of Trotz's system and into a more offensive system like the one Evason runs.

Yeah I think that’s as good as you’re gonna do from a pick perspective and it’d be really hard to pass up on that. I mean Boldy was 12th OA, so maybe just grab another one of him haha.

    I’d prolly take it too.

Is that how the 3rd round pick works in the Ladd deal? That's interesting.
