So you move a guy who has played a lot of top 4 RD for the Leafs along with a decent prospect and a 1st to replace Nylander with an inferior player in Konecny and have to use the 1st you obtained by sending Nylander for a guy who's never been a top 4 defenceman at the age of 27 and a prospect. In the end you moved Nylander and Holl for Walker and Konecny. That's a net loss. Nylander is better than Konecny.

Kings aren’t trading Kaliyev. He’s their only sniper and has like 15 goals mainly on the 4th line.

Holl is not an ideal top 4 D, Walker is closer. The defensive grass really is greener in many places. True that Nylander is better than Konecny but in this case Leafs also get a good cost controlled winger in Kaliyev.

How is Walker closer? He's 27 and has never been a top 4 defenceman in the NHL. Kaliyev isn't the difference between Konecny and Nylander. This is a waste of assets and you'd be left wishing you had Nylander and disappointed with the more expensive and not at all better Walker.
