Is there a trade to be made involving Petr Mrazek and Nikita Zaitsev

Both Mrazek and Zaitsev are liabilities for the Leafs and the Sens respectively.


Maybe even more so in the case of Mrazek.


So, I'm wondering if it's possible to make a trade involving the two.


Given they both have similar cap hits and term on their contracts.

The Sens will need a backup goalie in the event Matt Murray can't play anymore.


The Leafs will need someone they can use in their lineup next year.


Maybe if Ottawa retains on Zaitsev, Toronto could throw in a draft pick.



It's just an idea I had.

We would only make the trade with Toronto if Matt Murray can't play anymore.


And if Lassi Thomson is NHL ready.


If so, we would move Murray's contract to Arizona to allow Arizona to hit the cap floor for next year.


We would also get one of their second round picks for Brannstrom, who is no longer a fit on our team.


Trade would be based on the Bryan Little trade between Arizona and Winnipeg.
