Nylander is at worst a 75ish point guy and goal scorer for the Devils for a cheap 7 mil for the next 2 years. I say at worst because he has the potential to be even better. I’m not saying he will actually get better in terms of develop more, he’s at an age where he won’t develop more, I’m talking about where he fits. On the Leafs, he is greatly held back 5v5 playing with the slow Tavares; he needs speedy offensive guys, and Devils have a handful of them (ex. Bratt, Hughes). Nylander is oozing with skill, and constantly is able to take over games, but is held back by his 5v5 linemates. Give him better linemates and I am confident he can be a 40+ goal scorer, and a 80+ point guy. NJ I believe would be one of the best possible fits for Nylander to breakout in, and I think he would be a bonafide star here (other places include Edmonton, Carolina, and Colorado).
