Description
The window never closes.

Trade Killorn in 22-23 and re-sign Palat because Killorn and Paul are pretty similar players and we'd be missing a top line winger if we lost Palat

Would prefer to let Bichsel marinate in Sweden another season or two, but I think Carlile or Day will suffice as our 6D, or heck Thompson can play LD if needed and keep Bogo in.
(Day wins Calder at 26 y/o)

If BB doesn't make it, move Hagel and Koepke up.

Looking forward:
- BB isn't re-signed if Stamkos stays
- Thompson will actually have 1 more ELC year
- Either Stamkos retires or takes a pay cut to around $5.5m AAV to help pay for Hagel

Would deal with value closer to trade time. I assume LA will still be looking for a LHD before 23-24 season.

I like this a lot. I can’t believe there’s still a $1 of cap space. Plus the return for Sergachev will probably get an ELC player to contribute which will be huge. I hope Stammer takes a pay cut once his deal is up and they get to resign Hagel and ABB. Plus there’s a good amount of youth or guys that’ll be in there prime or mid 20’s which will be huge. I do feel like Jack Finley will eventually make the team and be a solid contributor.

Planned to perfection in the post-high Game 7 win lol
We honestly don't even need to keep Stammer if the numbers don't work - he'll be 35. W/o stammer Point moves back with Kuch and Cirelli slides back to center and the machine keeps rolling.
And yeah who knows what any Sergy trade would look like, but I think I'd be looking for a high-end winger prospect.

It’d be sad to see, but the team I think they would be fine running Point - Cirelli - Paul/ Colton down the middle. Hopefully ABB finally cements himself into an everyday lineup spot. And I forgot to mention earlier but I’d love to see Day end up having success and being a Calder winner at 26. I’ve been following his career since the OHL before the Rangers drafted him and it’d be a really cool thing to see. A high end winger on the right side would be a huge addition.

That's what I'm thinking. We lack righty (or lefty Kucherovesque) forward prospects that look like good bets. Huuhtanen is boom-or-bust and I think Cajkovic has potential, but more so as a bottom-six pest even though he has a good shot.
Yeah it's sad to think Stammer's days could be limited. I think the move back to center has been great for him though. Gonna get a new jersey with his name here soon. Forever my favorite Bolt.
Day is injured right now, so he's not participating in the Crunch's playoff run frown He showed a lot of improvement this year IMO.

Growing up he’s been my favorite player. Honestly crazy to think he’s in his 30s already. I’m just happy to see him have his success and be a winner, plus that 100 point season this year was incredible. I’ve still got my Reebok Stamkos jersey from what seems like ages ago. I think in another year or so Day will step into the lineup at least on a periodic basis.
