I think SEA holds on to Soucy until TDL, then they'll aim for an insane package because D are so valuable that time of the year.

Maybe Kulak loves playing at home and will take a discount, but I think there could be Cody Ceci money and term out there for him.

I agree and they probably should hold out until the TDL for him but you never know. I think it depends if they want to compete right away or just build for a bit with their semi old core. Reports before the end of the season had Kulaks camp wanting 2.5x4 so I technically already have him at a hometown discount.

The thing with Kulak is he will be a top 10 UFA D, if it's money he's after, I think he can exceed that 2.5 he was asking for. But again, maybe money isn't everything for him.
