No thank you to Murray, the Sabres need a guaranteed solution in net and have plenty of assets to get one. Jokiharju also wouldn't be top pair, even if you put Dahlin on the left

To be honest, Murray wouldn't be my first choice but like the past showed us, free agency isn't kind to Buffalo. I also don't think Adams is gonna trade a big asset to get a goalie, he seems to be a huge fan of Levi and UPL. Murray is still a solid NHL goalie who can split the net with UPL and won't block any of our prospects if they develop faster than expected

That's not really an excuse not to sign a UFA, especially when there are many goalies with better advanced stats available. If UPL wasn't up, I'd be more willing, but he is also a big question mark, and I don't want another lackluster year just because they gamble on 2 goalies and lost both
