Shocking that you made a trade that's bad for Calgary

Francis is building through the draft. (He's made 9 trades with a return of 13 picks and only 2 players!)

There may be interest in Holmstrom as he's a decent prospect to plug in the minor league team next season, but do you think Lou would take one of Dunn, Soucy or H.Fleury, packaged with 2 or more of the Kraken's ample 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounders in return for a package that includes the Isles 1st round pick?

If that's a no go, I try to pry Dufour from the Islanders, maybe have you throw in Koivula, see what he can do with more opportunity. (?) Just thoughts.

Very easy no from the Caps. GMBM isn't going to trade a first round pick for anything that isn't a long term piece, and he's definitely not going to do it for an older goalie with one year left. Varlamov's value is substantially lower than that, I think a 2nd and Vanecek is a stretch.
Kalopsia liked this.

Wsh says no
SEA should take that trade, maybe slightly over priced for NYI but good defenseman are becoming more and more expensive via trade it seems like
CGY would be incredibly dumb to accept that

It was already mentioned at the trade deadline by Friedman that Varlamov wouldn't waive for Edmonton or Washington both are on his 16 team no trade list.

And Johnny Gaudreau will want more to play on Long island.
