Description
This is not realistic at all, None of these moves will ever come to fruition. If they actually do ay of these trades, I would actually consider myself a god amongst men. But they will never happen cause im just a stupid degenerate Sharks and Bruins Fan. This is just what I think would best help the Sharks retool in one to two offseasons and be competitive for a playoff spot in 24-25 season. All of the trades I tried to make beneficial for both clubs with their current cap and roster situations. If you think I screwed up massively on anything. Please publicly rip me a new one on twitter @scyie_
Cheers.

Trades
1.
SJS
  1. Lucic, Milan
  2. Monahan, Sean
  3. Välimäki, Juuso
  4. 2023 2nd round pick (CGY)
  5. 2024 1st round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
Obviously this is where it is not realistic at all because this requires 3 players to have matching M-NTC, This gives the Flames a legit #2 center and clears cap to sign Tkachuk and Gaudreau.
CGY
  1. Couture, Logan ($1,500,000 retained)
  2. 2022 5th round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Couture isn't the same anymore, Sharks are not in a win now mode and he is 33 now. This gives him a chance to go out and win, Lucic and Monahan are just cap dumps. Might not get the most playing time but Valimaki will fit in nicely.
2.
SJS
  1. 2023 4th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Mrazek sucks
TOR
  1. Reimer, James
Additional Details:
better than Mrazek
3.
SJS
  1. Fischer, Christian [RFA Rights]
  2. 2023 6th round pick (ARI)
Additional Details:
Fischer needs a change of scenery and would be beneficial to show what he can do in a different system . He has the potential to score and put points up. I just think he does not fit in the yotes system and has been over shadowed by the other young guns.
ARI
  1. Dahlén, Jonathan
  2. Simek, Radim
  3. 2023 4th round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
Simek is basically done with the sharks at this point,, Its the invasion of youth for them at the current standpoint of the cap space. Simek going to the yotes give them some NHL experiance to help teach the young guys. Too many LHS on the sharks and Dahlen is a sweetener for this deal
4.
SJS
  1. 2023 3rd round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
not going to get much for him, but will help gaining assets for my hopeful 2 year rebuild
SEA
  1. Labanc, Kevin
Additional Details:
Needs a change of location and Seattle could use some more scoring after finishing 29th in the league last season

I don't hate it from a Flames perspective but I also don't like it. 5 more years of Couture is scary considering his age and cap hit. Monahan is also not a cap dump, he will be healthy and at least your 2C here. Lucic would also not be a healthy scratch, he is still a very capable NHL player, just expensive. Doubt he waives and I would honestly rather swap Monahan for Toews if I had to choose a vet center

Completely agree on the Monahan for Toews swap, It a much better deal for the Flames, but the Flames would probably have to throw Valimaki and or a higher valued pick to get him while having the Hawks retain 50% of his 10.5m cap.

I feel the easier way and potentially cheaper is getting Lucic and Monahan off the books this offseason because based off my own opinion I think if they are to resign Mangiapane, Gaudreau, Tkachuk and Kylington thats easily 25m+ maybe even over 30.
10.5 for Gaudreau
9 for Tkachuk
6 for Mangiapane
maybe 4 for kylington?

thats just what went through my head when I made the trade, Their is probably far better teams that can better service the flames with shedding cap. Just wanted to do the sharks cause they been gaslighting themselves for the past 2 years

I mean if I were to give a counter offer I'd ask for Riemer for Mrazek + 2nd, but a 4th for Riemer seems like a good deal for the leafs
