This team has no cap space. This is Mcdavid final year as an oilers based on this. Bonus overages will be brutal next year.

But there is no cap space left for Mcdavid contract next year. The debate isn't who is better it's who they can afford.

All David D. couldn't make it as 3rd line center this year and won't next either. For a little more money they could get someone else.

Huge no to resigning DD and Russell for term. DD is gone, its a well known fact in Edmonton. And Russell shouldn't be resigned but with the news of Sekeras injury, we could bring him back with no more than one year.
