OP, is this your speculation or you read it somewhere? Interesting point

I would make that deal. I am ready to sacrifice the 7th OA pick but yeah hope to not pay too much on top it to get a clear upgrade for the top-6

Just hoping Fiala's contract would 7 years max and under 8.0 AAV

And the Sens can afford to trade Gustavsson with Forsberg emergence and with Sogaard (and more?) coming up. Good target for the Wild

Read it here: https://zonecoverage.com/2022/wild/could-a-crowded-market-drive-down-kevin-fialas-value/

I think 7 years 7.5 mil should be about the max, then he’s a FA at 32, could still get a decent contract. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is satisfied with a 6 year deal to hit FA at 31.

6 years at 7.5 AAV would be perfect

Yeah, that’s not a bad deal at all. Especially considering What these UFAs will end up getting.

Is there a way the Wild could get Brannstrom as well? I'd love not having to play Middleton in the top 4 unless it's 100% necessary.
