Description
unconventional i know. a lot of things are happening here. but like legit i think this team is better than what we have rn.

don't get too caught up in the trades getting rid of guys on the team, because the returns are mostly just placeholders to what i think their values might be. the main purpose was to get rid of them to see what it'd look like.

While the actual value is fine. Kylington has neither earned that contract nor does Calgary have a suitable replacement for him right now

my thought was basically that calgary might get priced out from what he wants to take and then trade him. i figured it was a bit of an overpay since this was his first standout year, but i figured if i paid him less he would just stay in calgary.

He'll get a raise but even an arbitrator can only get him so much. 18 points in his last 57 games as an OFD is not going to help his case

fair. on another note, what do you think calgary would want for valimaki? i feel like he could be an interesting LD target but not sure where they see him in their future plans/how highly he's regarded there

He's likely to be trade bait as he hasn't seem to have gotten along with Sutter. We haven't seen much of him due to his injury, followed by COVID, and so he hasn't had much development either. I think fans regard him as a good player, but its unlikely he remains in our system (unfortunately)
