Description
Deb deal probably gets out bid but seems like fair value if they don’t care about taking cap back

Provorov might get more but Roy seems to be a hard guy to move in LA

Risto as a 7th D in case Ellis is out is interesting and overall the quality of our D looks a lot more reliable

Kessel doesn’t sign, he most likely gets more cash to play a bigger role but I really like that fourth line…

Hart and Fed compete for number 1 goalie spot… Fed if can possibly steal it, with this D his size and agility plays better to a guy like him.

He could be an option for LA but I think they’re going for Chychrun. If not, i’d take provorov. I don’t watch too many Philly games this year but is he a solid defensive dman or better 2way?

His advanced stats and regular stats are pretty much identical to Chychurn, but because his cap hit is 2M higher everyone thinks Chychurn will cost about twice this price. I think I’d say he is more of an offensive D but he has tried to be more reliable, sadly because he doesn’t trust his RHD in either end of the zone it hurts his stats… LA has a plethora of good RHD so he should flourish there… when he was paired with York you could see his game got a lot better because he trusted the guy and looked more like a solid 2-way D

The problem with your trade is that Matt Roy is the perfect playing partner for Ivan Provorov, as your own comment about the much less experienced Cam York implies. There should be alternatives to that element of the exchange (player, prospect, draft pick) which should be acceptable to Fletcher and the scouting staff.

There are other good ones we can discuss, I think Roy and Sanhiem fit, York is more offensively gifted which is why Provorov had confidence playing with him.

I’m not sure what’s going on with Doughty but that would be the most ideal parter imo, I think the two would put the puck in the net and create chances is the type of player Provorov thrives with… The Flyers had to have Giroux as his D partner on PPs because we had no RHD who he could trust to do more than block shots
