Winnipeg is sending a top 6 center that plays in all situations and good on faceoffs plus a big center with offensive up side who is good defensively. They also get 2 prospects a 1st round pick dmen and a 2nd round pick almost NHL ready forward. Winnipeg gets an aging 3rd line center and a top 6 forward and an A dmen prospect. They swap 1st rounders to balance it out.

    I don't get people an their outlook on prospects. Prospects are a gamble. Sergachev is likely a top 4 nhl dmen one day but he didn't have an out standing world juniors, he was bad in the 4 NHL games he played and his junior year was good but it was very similar to his draft year. You want to see these kids make big jumps. Now some of it could be that he dealt with some small injuries yes but there are still warning signs. To put Trouba a player that excelled as a #1 dman in the NHL is silly. Prospects are never guarantees.

    Major point is Bergeron has said they need to get a top 6 center. They just don't see Galchenyuk that way. Jets well they need a LHD.
