POJ is out of waivers, so it's time to find out if we have a young NHL D man or not. If not, we still have Friedman and enough cap space to bring in a vet Dman.

Next season we lose 6 million on Dumo, Boyle, and the drop in JJ's buyout, plus whatever the cap raise is. More than covers the raises for Jarry and Blue with enough left over to hopefully add a replacement for Dumo .

Year after that we lose Carter to pay for Jake's next contract, Blue moves up to 3rd line and hopefully Hallander is ready.

And the biggest plus, we retain all our firsts for the inevitable rebuild after Sid.
