Description

Hagelin and Backstrom on long term IR all regular season. Backy could come back for playoffs if healthy. Cap room for Wilson when ready. Copp, and Campbell free agent signings. The Oilers trade, Jesse for a solid responsible 3rd line center to help win now and a 2nd. Caps stay afloat till Wilson gets back and Copp can go back to wing if Backstrom ever gets well or Lapierre is ready for big club. Vanecek moved for a 2nd next year or Zacha of the Devils. Caps get younger and take flyers on high draft choices who need a change of scenery.
