Description
I think Kane would want to play in Florida. Big American city/State. I think he sees Florida as legitimate contender. I think Florida can make the cap work. I just don’t know if Florida has the pieces given how much they have already given up at the deadline for other players

Florida declines. After what happened with Q this past season, I don’t think Florida wants anything to do with anyone that was tied to the Blackhawks organization back in 2010.

Well, if you actually read the investigation report, it is a lot clearer why the NHL (not the team) asked Q to resign, behind closed doors. In 2010 during the meeting that occurred about what happened to Kyle Beach, he said something along the lines of "I can't deal with this **** right now and risk losing", insinuating that winning was more important than one of his players being drugged and raped by a video coach. He then proceeded to give Brad Aldrich an enthusiastic letter of recommendation in the summer of 2010 when they let him go and did nothing to make sure he couldn't do it again. Which, he went on to do to a high school kid and a college kid after he left CHI. So I think it has less to do with the players and more to do with Q's actions regarding that situation.

I'm pretty sure any team in the league would be ecstatic to have Kane on their roster, if they could swing it under the cap. Especially if he came with 50% retention. But I highly doubt FL would want to give up Lundell and a that CHI would want to take on Bobrovsky's contract.
