Besides the fact that no team will give the Rangers a 4th back in a cap dump plus Nemeth has an 8 team no trade which I can guarantee the Yotes are on that list... look at the top 9. This team will be a defensive black hole, that's 3 offensive lines and the 4th line is a very slow 4th line. Drury is trying to create a team that will be harder to play against and built for the playoffs, this is not that team. Also Garand will be the AHL starter, Rangers will sign a bargain bin back-up like Comrie, Lindgren, maybe Halak if they get lucky.

Nemeths buyout is like 1m for 3 years. It’s not a crazy amt where it’ll cost a 2nd. Rangers aren’t getting a 4th for Nemeth, but they’ll downgrade from the 2nd to 4th round to get rid of him.
