This is going to be an interesting situation for the Capitals when Backstrom and Wilson return from LTIR. A lot of this can be completely avoided if Backstrom does not return this year, but this will be based on the hope MacLellan has shared that Backstrom will return mid-season.

Wouldn’t mind that, but I think Lavy keeps McMichael on the bench to slot in for injuries. Either way it’s looking good.
