You're probably right. Unless the Canes think they need to unload Necas, for a load of picks and prospects.

Fiala was really the only reasonable player on the Wild the Canes would have considered shopping Necas for, and now that he is in LA, and knowing that the Canes are not interested in futures if they trade Necas, I don’t expect the Canes and Wild to be sharing many phone calls discussing Necas.
