We wouldn't trade two thirds for Muzzin, let alone the far more valuable local boy Trevor Moore. We already have a veteran LD for Muzzin's slot:

EDLER, Alex: 41 games . . . . 3 goals, 19 points . . . . +18 . . . . . 52.1 Corsi . . . . . 54.4 Fenwick . . . . . new cap hit of $750,000
MUZZIN, Jake: 47 games . . . 3 goals, 14 points . . . . . -6 . . . . . . 48.1 Corsi . . . . . 47.9 Fenwick . . . . . same old cap hit of $5.625 million.

And there are some subtle indications that Toronto was a better team last season than Los Angeles. Or don’t Maple Leaf fans believe that?

I’ve seen AGMs of other teams paying a 3rd to get Holl by himself. It’s not completely out of the realm of possibility that Stars pay a 2nd for him AND Engvall. They’re both valuable assets.

As for the Kings deal I just swung, I underpaid but stupid me was hoping for a counter offer not just bahahaha

But thank you specifically for the reason of no.
