Description

Winnipeg will want something good for Dubois, you gotta give to get.
Habs fans, I don't think this trade gets done without Barron as a key piece. Winnipeg crave for RHD prospect. MTL too, but i'd do it for Dubois.
Jets fans, this trade also doesn't get done if you don't take cap back. You have to take Dvorak and another winger to clear cap space to sign Dubois.
I don't think HuGo would trade MTL 2023 1st, FLO 2023 1st or MTL 2024 1st. 2023 is too good of a draft, and MTL 2024 1st could be top 10.

I think a fair offer for both team would be Barron, MTL 2023 2nd (33-37), Dvorak + Armia/Hoffman for cap space.

Could replace the 2nd for MTL 2024 1st top 10 protected, but if it's top 10, you'd get 2025 1st, maybe too far.
Could also be FLO 2023 1st top 16 protected, replaced by MTL 2023 2nd if it happens.

I didn't add any mid round picks or B prospect. I think they're small pieces that could be added to the trade to close it.

If that trade can't get done without Barron as a key piece, maybe we shouldn't do that trade.

As I said yesterday, Dubois was drafted by Columbus, he whined and got traded to Winnipeg.

Dubois is now playing in Winnipeg and he whines again. And he's only 24.

Will Dubois be traded to Montreal and start whining because the pressure is too much for him?

I wouldn't bet the farm on Dubois. If the deal is good for both teams, fine. Otherwise we move on.
